A law firm has named the new leader of an office in the region.

Joscelyn Cekola Boucher was appointed executive partner of Warner Norcross + Judd’s Kalamazoo office, the firm said last month.

Cekola Boucher will lead the 18-attorney office by providing strategic direction for marketing attorneys and their practices and raising the firm’s profile in the Kalamazoo market.

She will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Kalamazoo office, including a leadership role in planning for the new office, which is slated to open in 2020.

She will also represent the firm in the community at events and serve as spokeswoman for the office.

Boucher will continue to practice corporate and securities law that involves various matters: venture capital financing, private placements, strategic alliances, research and development, technology licensing and acquisition, international business, clinical and pre-clinical study agreements and more.

She is a member of the Kalamazoo Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and American Bar Association.

Boucher is also involved in the community, where she’s part of the Stulberg International String Competition board and Michigan Community Resources Outreach Committee.

She holds an A.B. from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
