A local law firm has added a new attorney.
Catherine Jacobs has joined Grand Rapids-based Warner Norcross + Judd as senior counsel.
Jacobs will be part of Warner’s trust and estates practice.
Jacobs has seven years of experience in estate and succession planning for individuals, families and businesses.
She also has experience in elder law, which has allowed her to assist clients who have special needs or disabilities.
Most recently, Jacobs was practicing law at Cottrell & Jacobs in Grand Rapids, a firm she co-founded in 2011.
She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
Jacobs is also involved with numerous community organizations: board member, Elder Law of Michigan; board member, Senior Neighbors; board secretary, Council on Aging; steering committee member, Caregiver Resource Network; trustee, Ada Township Planning Commission; and board member, Forest Hills Community Foundation.
She holds a B.A. from Central Michigan University and a J.D. from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University.
