A local law firm has a new finance director.
Grand Rapids-based Rhoades McKee said last week it hired Danielle Brown to lead its financial team.
Brown is in charge of overseeing accounting services, financial planning and firm growth.
Originally of Flint, Brown has lived in West Michigan since 1995. She said she’s excited to join the firm, because it will provide new challenges for her.
“I have been a finance director in previous positions, so it’s not a new role for me,” she said. “But it’s a new industry, so it has its own set of challenges based on the change in industry.
“I’m off to a great start. The people here make all the difference. There are great people here.”
Previously, Brown, a certified public accountant, served as director of accounting at Family Christian Stores, senior finance director of Pilgrim Manor and the Pilgrim Manor Foundation and an audit associate at Plante Moran.
Brown serves in the children’s ministry at Kentwood Community Church and said she's “open” to serve in other capacities if the right opportunity comes along.
She holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Grand Valley State University.
