A bilingual law firm recently celebrated “establishing itself” on 28th Street.

Wyoming-based Grand Rapids Law Group, operating since last summer, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony this month at its office, at 1779 28th St.

The firm was founded by a trio of Thomas M. Cooley Law School graduates who all serve as partners at the firm: Christopher Acklin, Daisy Benavidez Van Ittersum and Elizabeth Reyes-Rosario.

The ceremony celebrated the firm “establishing itself as a community resource for those both in the area, as well as beyond,” Reyes-Rosario said.

“We have worked throughout the year to improve our operations and expand our services to help meet the needs of our clients.”

The firm practices a range of law: family, criminal, immigration, small business, commercial, real estate and wills and estate planning.

Legal services are offered in both English and Spanish.

“The firm began as an idea to help the community in a range of areas, and as we continue to assist clients in the area, we are always looking to help and expand our coverage and find new ways to give back to the community,” Reyes-Rosario said.

The firm is located in an-easy-to-find location with parking for clients.

“Our firm is located in Wyoming to help with ease of access for clients, as well as being the location where several of our attorneys reside,” Reyes-Rosario said. “In addition, our firm has found Wyoming, its clients and the business people in the area to be a great fit for our firm and its goals.”
