Three law students joined Rhoades McKee’s summer associate program.
Michigan State University College of Law students Tysean Hendrix, Erykah Ross and Peter Veldkamp will gain practical legal experience in the firm’s summer clerk program.
Hendrix, who just completed his second year of law school and is expected to graduate in 2021, is returning to Rhoades McKee after going through the program last year. He is a member of the Black Law Student Association and has worked as a community assistant for a residential housing complex and as a student-athlete tutor. Hendrix earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
Ross, who is expected to graduate law school in 2022, also is a member of the Black Law Student Association and a participant in the Grand Rapids Bar Association Floyd Skinner Minority Clerkship Program. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a graduate advisor and past president of MSU Daughters of the Collective. Ross received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
Veldkamp completed his second year of law school. Last year, he worked as a bankruptcy extern with the state of Michigan. Veldkamp, who is expected to graduate law school in 2021, received his undergraduate degree from Calvin College where he became a CPA. He worked as an assurance associate at Grand Rapids-based BDO.
