Warner names new managing partner

A local law firm elected a new managing partner.

Warner Norcross + Judd said Tuesday, Jan. 4, it named Mark Wassink managing partner for a two-year term.

Wassink will be responsible for chairing the law firm’s management committee and guiding its strategic direction and growth.

Wassink joined Warner Norcross + Judd in 1988 as a mailroom clerk and courier and gradually climbed up the legal ranks. He will continue to serve as an attorney where he specializes in business and corporate services, closely held businesses, commercial finance law, mergers and acquisitions, and banking law.

Prior to becoming a partner at the firm in 2001, he was a summer associate and later an associate attorney in 1992.

Wassink served in various other roles at the firm, including chair of the recruiting committee and professional staff committee. He currently serves on the leadership team of Warner’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Committee.

He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University Law School.
