A hit-producing band is coming to town to help benefit a golf tournament’s mission.

The Meijer LPGA Classic, presented by Kraft, said yesterday that it has partnered with General Mills to bring OneRepublic to Van Andel Arena on July 25 for the tournament’s community concert.

Concert tickets will be $25 and go on sale in early May.

OneRepublic has produced hit songs such as “Counting Stars,” “Love Runs Out” and “If I Lose Myself.”

Proceeds from the tournament and concert, along with other community events, will benefit Meijer’s Simply Give program, which has raised nearly $14 million for Midwest food pantries.

Last year, the first Meijer LPGA Classic raised $600,000 for Simply Give.

The tournament will take place July 21-26 at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, just north of Grand Rapids.

A full field of 144 players will play 72 holes of golf during the four days of competition.
