A manufacturer has rejuvenated a 12,000-square-foot office facility in the region.
Hastings-based Flexfab Horizons International, a maker of high-performance silicone and polymer products, this fall finished renovating the corporate office space at its 76,912-square-foot main production facility, dubbed Flexfab LLC, in Hastings, at 1699 W. M-43 Highway, according to CD Barnes Construction Company last week.
The project’s cost was not disclosed.
Construction began in February and included the “rejuvenation” of office areas, restrooms, a lunch area and a meeting space to provide a “state-of-the-art, professional work environment.”
The facility has “a completely new look from floor to ceiling,” according to Flexfab.
The project’s goal was to encourage “the teamwork, innovation and creative solutions that Flexfab has become known for,” CD Barnes says on its website.
Three Grand Rapids-based firms handled the project.
Architectural Concepts was the architect, and CD Barnes was the general contractor.
Custer handled interior design and furniture procurement.
Founded in 1961 by Doug DeCamp and Bill Pierce, Flexfab produces highly engineered silicone and polymer products, mainly focused on air and fluid handling systems for the aerospace, automotive, rail and heavy-duty truck industries.
OEM clients include FAC, Boeing, Airbus and more.
The company has more than 1,000 employees, including 450 at its 150,000-square-foot headquarters in Hastings, at 102 Cook Rd.
Flexfab also operates facilities in Brazil, China and England.
