A supplier of drive and control technologies for machine manufacturers has consolidated two facilities in the region into one.

Charlotte, North Carolina-based Bosch Rexroth said it relocated its Assembly Technology Service Center from a leased facility at 816 E. Third St. in Buchanan to a service center it owns at 3737 Red Arrow Highway in St. Joseph.

“It was like renting a house when you already own one,” said John Agresti, a spokesman for Bosch Rexroth.

Bosch Rexroth said the move eliminates duplications and puts the consolidated operation within a four-hour drive of 62 percent of Rexroth’s installed conveyor customer base.

The Assembly Technology Service Center offers on-site technical and product support for the company’s TS Assembly Conveyors, VarioFlow plus chain conveyor systems and heavy-duty conveyor gearboxes.

It also has resources for assembly and installation assistance, preventive maintenance and Bosch Rexroth’s conveyor “tune-up” service.

The facility has a 3,200-square-foot lab for applications testing and 1,700 square feet of office space for the applications, service, engineering and product management personnel that are now housed all in one place.

The company said Bosch Rexroth’s assembly technologies business “now has the room needed to host customer training” and “to expand the conveyor system build areas” as demand arises.
