A manufacturer in the area is hosting a job fair this week in partnership with a staffing firm.
Cascade Township-based Lacks Enterprises, along with Express Employment Professionals of Grand Rapids, will host the job fair at Lacks Enterprises' facility at 4260 Airlane Dr. SE in Kentwood from noon to 3 p.m. this Thursday.
Lacks is looking to fill about 20 entry-level, second- and third-shift positions with a starting wage of $12 per hour, including general labor, racker, inspection, packaging and machine operator.
Interviews will be held on site, and immediate job offers will be given.
Those who receive job offers should be prepared to start work as soon as the next day.
