A supplier of stamped parts to the automotive industry won a pair of industry awards for quality and on-time delivery.

Accurate Machine and Tool (AM&T) in Middleville said it received 2019 Top Performing Supplier and Supplier of the Year awards from Cosma Body Assembly Michigan, a manufacturing division of mobility tech company Magna, located in New Hudson.

AM&T received a perfect score of 100% for its performance with zero delivery and quality incidents for the entire year.

“We don’t succeed without a strong, capable and reliable supply base. AM&T has proven themselves to be a benchmark supplier and partner,” said Brad Myers, general manager, Cosma Body Assembly Michigan.

This is the first year Cosma Body Assembly Michigan issued the supplier awards, which measure supplier performance based on number of pieces shipped, quality and delivery incidents and supplier responsiveness.

Out of 15 suppliers, AM&T was the facility’s top stamping supplier, receiving both the Top Performing Supplier and Supplier of the Year awards.

For nearly three years, AM&T has supplied stampings for automotive body frame assemblies to Magna. In 2019, AM&T supplied more than 1 million pieces to Magna.

“We are thrilled that our Middleville team was recognized by Magna for their performance and commitment to service and quality,” said Steve Zawacki, general manager, AM&T USA. “Highly responsive customer service and quality are at the core of our culture and (have) enabled us to create a great partnership with Magna.”
