A marketing agency recently added a new member to its leadership team.
Grand Rapids-based Deksia last week said Anna Baeten joined the agency as director of operations.
Baeten brings more than two decades of strategic management experience and will oversee internal operations and a variety of key growth initiatives at Deksia. Her responsibilities will include talent, finance, operations, technology and culture.
Prior to joining Deksia, Baeten served as a senior consultant at Ktisis Capital. She also was COO at Failure Lab, a training and event organization in Grand Rapids.
“Anna is a skilled administrator who has spent her career growing organizations, developing talent and empowering teams, but more importantly, her passion for giving voice to those who need it most is what attracted us to her,” said Aaron VanderGaelian, senior partner at Deksia. “As our network expands across the U.S., Anna’s skills in helping organizations of all sizes grow to their full potential will be invaluable.”
Baeten will continue to serve as a partner at Failure Lab, where she recently introduced Failure Lab SHE, a development program for women in leadership.
“What excites me most about working with Deksia is that the organization is committed to giving organizations a fighting chance with tools that grow their business and guide them into new realities,” Baeten said. “I enjoy working with mission-driven teams, and Deksia has a strong reputation for creating change. It builds off of my work at Ktisis and Failure Lab, and I can’t wait to add my voice to this fantastic group.”
Baeten also has served in various executive director roles and is the owner and managing partner of Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences, professional and applied ethics.
