Lambert & Co. acquires St. Louis PR firm

Lambert & Co. has acquired St. Louis-based The Vandiver Group Inc., a strategic communications and market research firm.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. It is the fourth acquisition Lambert & Co. has made in the last two years.

The acquisition not only grows the Lambert & Co. team of communicators, but it specifically strengthens its crisis and reputation management, corporate communications, market research and executive and employee training, according to the company.

The Vandiver Group, was founded by Donna Vandiver more than 28 years ago. She served as the president and CEO of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council certified PR firm. She now joins Lambert & Co. as the managing director, leading the St. Louis office.

“We are always looking for great talent, and acquisitions are one way we can complement and catapult our strategic goals,” said Jeff Lambert, founder and CEO of Lambert & Co. “I have known Donna for several years and this acquisition is a culmination of a relationship driven by values alignment and strategic fit.”

During her nearly three decades of leading The Vandiver Group, Vandiver expanded it from a strategic communications and corporate reputation to market research, digital and integrated marketing and more. She has provided communication services to Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations and consumer brands.

Vandiver was recognized by the Emmy Awards, the Communicator Awards, MarCom Awards, AMA Marketing Excellence Awards, PRWeek and her firm was named “Best PR Firm” by St. Louis SBM for 12 consecutive years.

“Jeff and I have been peers within the communications industry and have developed a strong relationship through our partnership for many years in PROI Worldwide,” she said. “We’ve watched their growth and how they’ve stayed true to their vision. We’ll now be able to offer additional services and diverse perspectives while continuing the award-winning work we have always produced.”
