Two Michigan public relations firms are joining forces.

Van Dyken Horn recently said it forming a partnership with Lambert Global, a national integrated communications agency with a West Michigan presence.

The new partnership provides both firms with new capabilities, including creative services, multimedia production, website, social media management and digital marketing. Both firms continue to be independently owned and operated.

“The team keeps knocking it out of the park to attract top talent to the agency,” said Lambert CEO Michelle Olson. “And our partnership has already opened the doors to opportunities and clients we both would have walked away from alone. The two agencies have skills that continue to set each other apart — and together, we make a stronger team.”

Georgella Muirhead, CEO and founding partner of VDH, said the firm also plans to rename and rebrand in the coming weeks.

VDH also welcomed four new hires bringing more than 30 years of combined experience to the business.

Joining VDH are Kelsey Hartung and Antonice Strickland as senior account executives and Jerel Jones and Sabira Rahman as account executives.

Hartung and Strickland will serve as day-to-day contacts for clients and teams in their new roles. They will lead the development of communications plans, reporting and analytics, communications campaigns and marketing strategies.

Jones and Rahman will help implement program strategies and assist in PR and marketing plans while conducting research, media monitoring and analytics.

Muirhead said the new hires will help the firm continue to break down barriers and better serve their clients and the community.

“The lifeblood of any PR agency is its team,” Muirhead said. “We had a core team, but we needed some additional people to help. … I’m so excited about the new team members we were able to recruit.”

Hartung previously worked at VDH from 2011 to 2014 when the agency was Berg Muirhead and Associates. She returns with 15 years of experience in public relations, community engagement and event planning and management.
