The Orders and Medals Society of America will hold its annual convention in Grand Rapids.

The 58th annual convention is scheduled for Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 10-13, at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids for registered OMSA members. Non-members will be able to attend the convention from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday. Visitors will be charged a small fee.

The theme for exhibits this year is the Vietnam air war.

OMSA’s annual convention moves around the country enabling regional members the opportunity to attend without traveling long distances.

The Orders and Medals Society of America collects, researches and preserves orders, medals and decorations. Items of interest include American and worldwide award medals of all kinds, such as orders of knighthood insignia, decorations for gallantry or distinguished service and medals for various types of service, both military and civilian.
