A medical clinic in the area has added two new providers to its team.
The Allegan Medical Clinic said last month it hired Dr. Nestor Halicki and nurse practitioner Jamie Thorpe.
The clinic is one of four primary care practices within Allegan Professional Health Services, or APHS, and part of the Allegan General Hospital network.
Services at the clinic include family medicine, pediatrics, sleep medicine, a walk-in center, pelvic health, occupational health services and long-term care.
The clinic has nine physicians and seven advanced practice providers.
Craig Solle, administrator of APHS, said the new hires will help expand the physician and nurse practitioner coverage in Allegan.
Halicki is board certified in family medicine and has over 30 years of health care experience.
He previously had a private practice in Waterford.
He holds a B.S. in nutrition from the University of Michigan and a medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Thorpe, who’s board certified, was previously the manager of Cardiopulmonary Services, Sleep Center and Pain Management at Allegan General Hospital.
She holds a master of health sciences from the University of South Alabama and master’s degree in nursing and business administration from Spring Arbor University.
