Medical packaging supplier acquires company

A local supplier of packaging for the health care industry has acquired a similar company on the West Coast.

Grand Rapids-based Oliver Healthcare Packaging acquired Anaheim, California-based CleanCut Technologies on Jan. 24, according to Oliver this week.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Oliver is acquiring CleanCut’s full packaging product portfolio: including patented clipless dispensers for catheters and guidewires, mounting cards, pouches, lids, cartons and shippers; design and prototyping, 3D printing, tube flaring, pad printing and contract packaging; and its Anaheim facility with about 70,000 square feet of space, including ISO class 7 and class 8 cleanroom manufacturing, warehousing and office space.

Founded in 1968, Oliver Healthcare Packaging is a supplier of pouches, lidding, roll stock and mounting cards for the global global health care industry.

Its packaging protects medical devices and pharmaceutical products throughout the sterilization, shipment and storage processes.

The company is ISO 13485 certified.

CleanCut Technologies

Founded in 2000, CleanCut Technologies describes itself as a “one-stop shop” for medical device packaging design and manufacturing.

It is FDA QSR registered and ISO 13485 certified.
