A local medical staffing agency has acquired a care-giving business in the region.
Grand Rapids-based DMS acquired Grand Haven-based Peace at Home Caregivers, effective July 24.
Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
DMS has been providing home care and staffing services in Michigan for over 30 years. The company also provides per diem and contract clinical health care staff for hospitals, medical practices, clinics, labs, and skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.
“As a family-owned business, we make a personal commitment to providing compassionate and professional care enabling our clients to live independently in their homes.” said Charlie Ferro, DMS president. “This acquisition allows us to expand our services and commitment to the lakeshore with an organization that fully shares our vision.”
Peace at Home has offered in-home care services to individuals and families in Ottawa and Muskegon counties since its founding in 2014.
“We’ve been looking for the right partner to help take Peace at Home Caregivers to the next level for our lakeshore community, and we found that with DMS,” Peace at Home founders Janna Beebe-Ortiz and Laura Lutz said in a joint statement. “Our community has an overabundance of families in need of home care services; working with DMS enables us to fulfill this important need.”
Ortiz and Lutz will serve in leadership roles as employees of DMS.
Peace at Home Caregivers will retain its name and office location in Grand Haven.
