Frederik Meijer Gardens has provided a sneak peek at its Summer Concert Series lineup by announcing four of the acts that will grace the outdoor stage.

The four confirmed performances include: Montgomery Gentry, performing on Friday, July 5; David Byrne and St. Vincent, performing on Sunday, July 7; Steve Miller Band, performing on Thursday, July 18; and Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell, performing on Monday, July 29.

The Gardens also has created a Spotify playlist for listeners to get a preview of the four bands.

This year’s early lineup announcement indicates that the series will continue the eclectic mix of musicians and genres for which it has become known.

The annual Summer Concert Series has built a reputation for topnotch talent, including both up-and-coming and established performers. It is highly anticipated and each spring several concerts sell out during the members’ only sale period.

Musicians seem to like it too, as several have made the Gardens a regular summer tour stop. This year both Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers and the Steve Miller Band are making return visits.

Last year included the largest concert lineup thus far for the Gardens’ annual summer series with 25 concerts — 13 of which sold out.

Tickets go on sale to members on Saturday, April 27, and will be available to the general public starting on Saturday, May 11. More information on prices and purchasing locations will be available following the release of the full lineup in mid April.
