The Michigan Growth Capital Symposium has announced its 32nd annual event is coming this spring.
The two-day event — a networking conference for venture capital leaders in the Midwest — is planned for May 21-22 at the Marriott Resort in Ypsilanti.
Event coordinators are expecting more than 400 attendees, representing 100 regional and national venture capital firms.
The event will showcase upcoming companies that are seeking institutional investments, ranging from $500,000 to tens of millions in funding within the year.
The event is presented this year by the Center for Venture Capital and Private Equity Finance at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and received support from both the Michigan Venture Capital Association and the Michigan Economic Development Corp., the state's marketing arm.
The Growth Capital Symposium was created in 1980. Since then, the event has helped more than 800 companies raise funds and develop business relationships, which continue to sow the seeds of economic growth in their respective communities.
Early registrations for the event will be accepted until Feb. 26. The final deadline for registration is March 7.
