A local attorney was accepted into a national fellows program.
Miller Johnson’s Shoran Reid Williams was selected for the 2020 Leadership Counsel on Legal Diversity Fellows Program.
The LCLD is a group of over 320 general counsels of national corporations and managing partners at law firms all over the country.
“(LCLD is) a yearlong, in-depth program devoted to relationship building, in-person training, peer-group projects and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership and the best teachers in the business,” said Robert J. Grey Jr., LCLD president.
Throughout the year, Williams and other members will get the opportunity to attend regional meetings at member law firms in Chicago, San Francisco and Washington D.C. They also will have the opportunity to learn from member corporations, such as Allstate Insurance Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Fannie Mae and T-Mobile USA.
Williams is an attorney in Miller Johnson’s litigation group. She focuses on administrative law, civil litigation, appellate law, personal injury and family law. She advises business owners in the cannabis and hemp industries on legal issues including compliance, trade secrets, finance, interstate transportation, dispute resolutions and acquisitions.
She currently serves on the advisory board for the Women’s Resource Center, and she is a member of Inforum, a women’s alliance.
Williams is a licensed attorney in Michigan and Georgia. She also is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, Georgia State Bar and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
