A Cleveland-based IT firm has invested $400,000 to open a new space in the West Michigan market.

MCPc, an IT services provider and consultant, has recently opened a new 15,000-square-foot facility in Wyoming, at 1575 Gezon Pkwy.

MCPc sells hosting, security and optimization services. The firm’s new facility includes a warehouse, configuration lab, MCPc Technology Experience Center and a Cisco Telepresence Suite.

“We are quite excited about the new facility in the greater Grand Rapids area. This is not a new building, but MCPc has invested nearly $400,000 in this facility in the course of preparations,” said Aaron Marcovy, a spokesperson for MCPc.

MCPc spent about $250,000 on lease enhancements, including building infrastructure, and more than $140,000 on furnishings, lab preparations, warehouse and storage preparation, Marcovy said.

MCPc operates 15 facilities across the country and has 423 employees.

Grand Rapids growth

The new Wyoming facility represents a significant expansion for MCPc in the Grand Rapids market, Marcovy said.

“We began in Michigan in 2007 with one employee and have been in a huge growth cycle since,” Marcovy said. “We currently have 18 full-time employees in Grand Rapids today.”

“This new facility is reflective of our scalability and growth,” said Mike Trebilcock, MCPc CEO. “We have grown this office into an industry-leading hub in the northern United States. We now cater to several enterprise-level clients, whose employees number in the tens of thousands.”

MCPc executives have been impressed by the community and culture of Grand Rapids, Marcovy said, and the firm hopes to grow and enhance customer services in the area.
