Nonprofit hires business development director

A nonprofit hospice care provider has a new business development director.

Bryan Cramer took the role for Emmanuel Hospice and is responsible for the overall development and strategic oversight, leadership and execution of all growth activities for the nonprofit.

He also will oversee referral management, admissions and marketing, including community engagement.

Cramer brings more than 17 years of experience in the health care industry.

Most recently, he was the professional and community relations director for Vista Springs in Grand Rapids. Prior, he held executive director roles for First & Main and for Golden Orchards.

From 2005 to 2011, Cramer was a referral coordinator for Harbor Hospice in Muskegon.

He then worked for Spectrum Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Grand Rapids, as an account executive for Arcadia Home Care and Staffing and then as the director of business development for LifeHOUSE Properties.

He has a B.S. in health care administration from the University of Phoenix.

“Bryan’s background in health and hospice care, as well as business development and community relations makes him a strong asset to our leadership team,” said Sara Lowe, executive director of Emmanuel Hospice. “His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to advancement our mission of providing compassionate end-of-life care to our community.”

Matthew Schipper also joined the Emmanuel team as director of support services, leading all aspects of human resources, including recruiting, hiring, retention and employee engagement.
