A local adoption and foster care nonprofit has its first director of diversity, inclusion and engagement.
Andre Daley began the role on July 8 for D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s.
He brings more than 13 years of diversity and inclusion work experience to the role.
Daley has spent the past six years as founder and lead trainer of his consulting firm, Reimagine Diversity & Inclusion Project.
Prior to that role, Daley was the associate executive director of the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance and volunteer executive director of Grand Rapids Dreams, a nonprofit partner in the Believe to Become community education initiative of the RDV Foundation.
He also has held religious leadership roles in several churches.
“Andre’s experience, passion and leadership skills are the ideal match for this role,” said Jim Paparella, DABSJ president and CEO. “His success in developing effective diversity and inclusion strategies will improve outcomes to the children and families we serve.”
Daley has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from City College of New York and a master’s degree in divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
