A sustainability-focused nonprofit has hired a membership and campaigns manager.

Grand Rapids-based West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum hired Rose Spickler for the role, the nonprofit said last week.

As membership and campaigns manager, Spickler will “support and/or lead tactical implementation of WMSBF strategic programs” and “lead the membership functions of the organization,” according to WMSBF.

Spickler — who also serves as executive director of the Muskegon Food Alliance and is an adjunct professor at the Culinary Institute of Michigan at Baker College in Muskegon — will be based in Muskegon and serve members and other stakeholders throughout West and Southwest Michigan.

Spickler has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in sustainable business management from Aquinas College.

Founded in 1994, West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum is a regional collaboration of local businesses, governmental units, academia and nonprofits working together to promote sustainable business practices within their organizations and the community.
