Local pastors will be the stars of a nonprofit's game-show-style fundraiser this fall.

North Kent Community Services, or NKCS, is hosting North Kent Pastors Square Off, its third-annual fundraiser, on Nov. 2 in Grand Rapids at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, beginning at 6 p.m.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support NKCS' food pantry and educational programs.

Pastors Square Off

The event will feature pastors playing a version of “Hollywood Squares,” with contestants answering if they think pastors truthfully answered questions or if they’re bluffing.

Previous iterations of the event featured local pastors performing talents to raise funds.

In addition to the game show, former NKCS Pastors Got Talent contestants Darrin Compagner of Blythefield Christian Reformed Church and Jon Huizenga of River Rock will give a musical performance to open the show.

The event includes dinner and entry into Meijer Gardens.

Tickets for North Kent Pastors Square Off go on sale for $50 at 8 a.m. on Monday. The event has sold out in the past.

To purchase tickets, people can contact Katie Hop at 616-866-3478.
