A local nonprofit that works with at-risk youth and their families is hosting an anniversary fundraiser this month.
Wedgwood Christian Services will host its Lives Transformed event on Sept. 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, at 1000 E. Beltline Ave. NE.
The event will benefit the organization’s services, funded entirely by donations, which include educational support, employment training, prevention services and more.
The event will feature testimonials, an awards presentation, interactive stations and a strolling small-plate meal.
Tickets are $100 each. People should RSVP by Sept. 17.

Founded in 1960, Wedgwood Christian Services works with youth and their families dealing with issues such as sex trafficking, abuse, substance abuse, developmental delays and school expulsions.
Last year, the nonprofit worked with more than 11,000 people.
Wedgwood’s main campus, including 10 residential homes, is in Grand Rapids. It also has an office in Muskegon.
