A nonprofit that focuses on eliminating racism and empowering women and girls is hosting an awards luncheon on Tuesday.
The Grand Rapids-based YWCA of West Central Michigan is hosting its annual Tribute Awards at 11:30 a.m. at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, at 303 Monroe Ave. NW.
Reservations for the luncheon are $65 per seat.
The awards honor women leaders in several areas: advocacy; arts; business, management, industry and labor; community service; professions; and sports, fitness and wellness.
The awards will also honor a student with the $2,000 Judy Lloyd Student Leadership Award Scholarship. Three of the other student nominees will receive the $500 YWCA Helen Claytor Achievement Scholarship.
