A nonprofit education organization hired a director of partnerships.

Spring Lake-based Do More Good + Nonprofit Hub said Friday that it hired Delaney Mullennix for the role.

“We are thrilled to have such a rising star in the nonprofit sector join our team and at such a critical juncture, given our recent merger with Nonprofit Hub,” said Katie Appold, executive director of the joint organization. “Delaney’s heart for cause work combined with her background working in and with the nonprofit sector make her an excellent fit for this leadership position.”

Mullennix is the former outreach coordinator of BRAINS, a neuropsychological institute based in Grand Rapids Township. During her time with BRAINS, the company developed a network of over 1,000 referring sources, nearly doubled its value of services provided and was rated a top care provider by the Grand Rapids community for three consecutive years.

Mullennix’s experience in the charitable sector includes a master’s degree in nonprofit management and administration from Grand Valley State University, where she served on the executive board of the Nonprofit Professionals Graduate Student Organization and provided voluntary service to organizations including Urban Roots, the Challenge of Children Coalition and Friends and Families of Cystic Fibrosis.

Do More Good + Nonprofit Hub said Mullennix has a record of building relationships within several organizations, including BNI and the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, where she was an Emerging Leaders program graduate in 2017. Mullennix is an alumna of Michigan DECA and serves as a competitive event judge to help evaluate marketing and customer relation skills of high school students. She also is currently a Heart of West Michigan United Way Young Leaders Society board member.

“It is humbling to work with the skilled and innovative team at Do More Good + Nonprofit Hub,” Mullennix said. “Finding an organization that provides education without expectation to nonprofit professionals and crosses both sector and geographic boundaries is an incredible gift.”

Do More Good has a full portfolio of partnership opportunities planned for 2021, including the national Cause Camp conference in Grand Rapids this October.
