A gastropub in Grand Rapids has been sold to a local developer and two partners who plan to keep the neighborhood “charm” going.
Kevin Farhat and Eric Albertson, in partnership with Grand Rapids-based Third Coast Development, have purchased Graydon’s Crossing gastropub in the city’s Creston neighborhood, at 1223 Plainfield Ave. NE.
The new owners do not expect to make changes to the staffing, hours, menu or décor of Graydon’s Crossing.
The restaurant, founded in 2005, is known for its English- and Indian-inspired farm-to-table cuisine, extensive wine and cider list and 46 beers on tap.
Albertson, owner of SpeakEZ Lounge in downtown Grand Rapids, and Farhat, operator of Garage Bar & Grill in downtown Grand Rapids, will serve as operating partners at Graydon’s Crossing.
“Eric and I have always respected how each other operate our restaurants, and we’re excited to team up and bring our expertise to Graydon’s,” Farhat said.
Third Coast Development partners David Levitt, Brad Rosely and Max Benedict will maintain an ownership interest as part of their 3C Restaurants group, as well as own the real estate.
“The charm of this building and the ‘Garden of Eden’ outdoor seating, coupled with the great food and drink offerings, made it a perfect match for our group,” Benedict said.
