A trio of partners are planning a condo development across from a major shopping center in town.
Townhomes of Breton Village, LLC is the owner and developer of the Townhomes of Breton Village, a new residential community that will be located at 2515 Inverness Rd. SE in Grand Rapids.
The team is comprised of Steve Volkers, the owner and CEO of Grand Rapids-based Steve Volkers Group, a residential brokerage under Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Michigan Real Estate, and Ryan Schmidt and Greg Schmidt, co-owners of Grand Rapids-based Indigo Homes, a development firm.
The project encompasses two buildings and nine units on .54 acres. Building one will have five units totaling 9,837 square feet, and building two will have four units totaling 7,764 square feet.
Units will come in two- and three-bedroom floor plans, ranging from 1,897 to 2,073 square feet and priced between $325,000 and $425,000.
Each unit will have an attached two-stall garage, customizable finishes and access to a private third-floor terrace.
The team has not finalized the selection of an interior designer, but one will be on staff to assist with unit customization.
The development is privately funded, and the owners did not disclose the cost of the project.
Townhomes of Breton Village, LLC has received zoning and site plan approval from the City of Grand Rapids and plans to begin construction in fall 2018, with building one completed in summer 2019 and building two completed in fall 2019.
