A local public relations firm has formed a “strategic alliance” with a PR firm on the east side of the state.
Grand Rapids-based SeyferthPR said yesterday its new affiliation with Farmington Hills-based Infused PR & Events will help both firms expand clients’ brand reputations, community conversations and collaboration among consumers and businesses statewide.
Infused PR has "extensive hands-on experience in hyper-local brand activation,” said Ginny Seyferth, founder and president, SeyferthPR.
“This relationship will help us continue to grow in connecting brands with social influencers, as well as providing expanded presence in grassroots consumer engagement,” Seyferth said.
Infused PR & Events, which also has a presence in Detroit, has six full-time employees and 25 part-timers. The firm’s work includes consumer engagement management for the new Woodward Avenue Q-Line and events for Crain’s, Motown Museum and Duggan for Detroit.
SeyferthPR has clients throughout Michigan served by nearly 50 employees. The firm's work includes acting as the public information officer for the Region 2 South Health Coalition, which serves the City of Detroit, Wayne, Washtenaw and Monroe counties and is the largest of Michigan’s disaster preparedness networks.
Tatiana Grant, owner and president of Infused PR & Events, said the alliance made sense because of the firms’ complementary strengths and areas of overlap.
“Within 10 minutes of meeting Ginny and team, we felt like family," Grant said. "And then when we looked at business philosophies, along with our past work, it was clear that an affiliation would be excellent for both firms."
Seyferth said the firms connected through the Region 2 South Health Coalition, and she admired Grant’s problem-solving abilities.
“In addition to her work in consumer and social engagement, Tatiana offers a tremendous support in our issues-management practice throughout the state,” she said.
Both firms currently work on the east and west sides of the state, and the partnership will allow them to go deeper in the two markets.
Seyferth said her firm and Infused PR already offer limited joint PR strategy and counseling services, but the alliance will strength both firms’ issues-management practices and social media expertise. Infused PR will also help SeyferthPR strengthen its outreach to diverse populations and millennials.
“We will also provide immediate staff support for and with one another to be able to take on larger and more complex work very quickly and efficiently,” Seyferth said.
No staff changes are planned at this time.
Founded in 1984, SeyferthPR provides counsel in public relations, social, digital and traditional media, labor relations, issues and crisis management, public policy, social responsibility and consumer engagement, brand strategy and events.
The firm has other strategic relationships in place to support its issues management, technical writing, events, web and digital work and consumer engagement practice.
