A real estate firm with a growing presence in West Michigan has been named the management agent for a public housing commission in the region.
The city of Niles selected Fourmidable Real Estate Services in Bingham Falls as manager for the Niles Housing Commission.
Fourmidable said last week that it will oversee a public housing community of nearly 180 scattered family homes and senior citizen units throughout Niles.
The firm has state-wide experience in public housing management, with more than 1,900 units spread throughout the Detroit, Lincoln Park, New Haven, Romulus, Royal Oak Township and Sterling Heights housing commissions, making it one of the largest private managers of public housing in the state.
“Our company brings 40 years of property management experience and quality services to the table, which we believe will add value to the lives of these Niles residents,” said Scott Allen, president, Fourmidable.
Sabrina Gaddy, Fourmidable’s director of public housing, will be in charge of managing the property management transition from the Niles Housing Commission to the firm.
“Sabrina has extensive knowledge and experience working with public housing administrations and will use all of our resources to make the transition seamless,” Allen said.
The move also deepens Fourmidable’s presence on the west side of the state. Fourmidable has represented the buyer of three apartment complexes in Greenville this year.
