A local maker of oral care products has named a professional with 20 years of experience to lead its human resources team.
Grand Rapids-based Ranir said this week it appointed Julie Nass as VP of global HR.
Nass will oversee all HR functions and lead strategic planning for talent management and development programs across the organization.
“Julie is a highly accomplished HR executive with demonstrated success in driving transformation and improving talent and organizational capability,” said Rich Sorota, CEO, Ranir.
“Her leadership skills and breadth of experience in human resources will help us advance our global growth strategies and support our organization in achieving our purpose of delivering millions of affordable, healthy smiles every day.”
Nass said she is “grateful for the opportunity to join such a passionate team.”
“I look forward to leading the company’s global talent management and development strategies and contributing to the collective success of the organization,” Nass said.
Nass has worked at both startup and Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries.
Most recently, she served as North America VP of human resources for La Défense, France-based Tarkett, a provider of sustainable solutions for flooring and sports surfaces.
In that position, she “developed and implemented processes to drive operational performance improvements” and “re-structured the HR function to drive business alignment, functional effectiveness and a high-performing team.”
Nass’ experience also includes leadership positions at multi-million-dollar companies, such as Cicero, Illinois-based Broadwind Energy, and multi-billion-dollar companies, including Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corporation.
She holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of Dayton and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Illinois State University.
