A global maker of oral care products has hired a new CEO.
Grand Rapids-based Ranir said this week that it has appointed Rich Sorota to the role.
He will join the company in mid August.
Sorota replaces outgoing CEO Christine Henisee, who has held the position for 12 years.
Henisee will transition into the role of vice chair, and she’ll be supporting Sorota’s “seamless transition.”
Sorota has a long history of experience in international sales, marketing and product development.
During his career, Sorota has held leadership positions at various organizations: Philips; Scotts Miracle-Gro; Procter & Gamble; and Bissell.
“Rich brings an incredible track record of high performance, a collaborative team-leadership approach and a global resume to the Ranir organization,” Henisee said.
Henisee said Ranir board members were impressed by how Sorota and his teams have “repeatedly grown their businesses by collaborating with retail partners and bringing compelling insights and innovation to the marketplace."
