A residential real estate brokerage has opened an office on East Beltline to expand on the success it's experienced brokering sales north of Grand Rapids.
Grand Rapids presence
RE/MAX United in Rockford, owned by Tom Rich, recently opened an office in Grand Rapids, at 4150 E. Beltline Ave. NE.
The 3,600-square-foot office was previously occupied by Farm Bureau Insurance.
The office has a modern look, yet the interior design and furnishings have a domestic feel to complement RE/MAX United’s residential real estate focus.
The space was previously divided into two 1,800-square-foot suites that were combined by creating a common area project space for agents that doubles as a joining corridor.
RE/MAX United has 42 realtors and staff.
The RE/Max United Grand Rapids office will have 11 agents and about five staff members. Rich said the office will have 34 agents "when fully staffed."
“We are actively recruiting and attracting more agents daily,” Rich said.
The office has held a soft opening and will host a grand opening on August 25.
“We throw a good party,” Rich said.
Building on Rockford growth
Rich said the brokerage has found success in Rockford since opening in 2012, and it's looking to build on the success with the Grand Rapids office.
The Rockford office “quickly grabbed top market share” in Rockford and several communities in northern Kent County, Montcalm County and southern Newaygo County, Rich said.
Rich said that closed sales volume for the Rockford location is up more than 59 percent this year.
He added that RE/MAX United realtors are some of the “most productive agents in north Kent County.”
“We focus a tremendous amount of energy into training, coaching and developing agents," Rich said.
