A residential real estate firm in the area is expanding its footprint and agent roster via acquisition.

RE/MAX United, which has offices in downtown Rockford and northeast Grand Rapids, has acquired RE/MAX Brokers Plus in Greenville, at 10606 W. Carson City Rd.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal is expected to grow the RE/MAX brand in Montcalm County and northern Kent County.

Tom Rich and Tracie Rich founded RE/MAX United, opening a Rockford office in 2012 and a Grand Rapids office in 2015.

Mark Petersen and Trudy Petersen opened RE/MAX Brokers Plus in 1998 and have been serving the Greenville and Belding areas.

“We feel the talent of the Greenville agents combined with the technology and marketing strengths of RE/MAX United will allow the market share to grow even larger and bring significant benefits to clients in north Kent and Montcalm counties,” Tom Rich said.
