A tire retailer is opening a franchise location in the greater Grand Rapids area.

RNR Tire Express, a national retailer for tires and custom wheels, will open its first Michigan store at 841 28th St. SW in Wyoming.

The 6,000-square-foot space is set to open Monday, May 16, and allows customers to choose from a large selection of brand-name tires and wheels, new and previously rented. Services such as alignments and tire rotations also are available.

Staff will help customers choose the right product for their vehicle and provide professional installation at no extra charge. Additionally, customers are offered free nitrogen, roadside assistance and lifetime tire rotation and balancing with their sale or rental.

RNR also offers flexible payment plans in weekly, biweekly or monthly installments.

The retailer said it hopes to fill a void in Michigan after the pandemic caused many drivers to keep vehicles and old tires longer due to inflated prices.

“The importance of reliability and safety when it comes to car parts is second to none, especially for those raising families and those who depend on their vehicles for daily use,” said Amy Kidd, marketing manager for RNR Tire Express in Wyoming. “The owners, staff and I are elated to have the opportunity to provide safe and affordable solutions to communities in Wyoming, Kent County and beyond.”

Following the store’s opening, hours of operation will be 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
