A maker of power supply products for multiple industries has added the position of chief operating officer.
RoMan Manufacturing in Grand Rapids said this week that Nelson Sanchez, its former chief financial officer, has been promoted to the newly created position.
Robert Roth, RoMan’s president and CEO, said the position is “necessary to ensure the continued and seamless growth of RoMan.”
Roth said having a COO will allow him to “devote more time to strategic, rather than to day-to-day, operating issues” of the globally expanding company.
In his new role, Sancez will oversee the company’s engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, human resources and purchasing functions.
Prior to joining RoMan in 2013, Sanchez held executive positions in finance, marketing and business management at several companies: Windquest Companies, Kaydon Corporation, Ridgeview Industries and Deloitte Touche.
Sanchez serves on the board of directors of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce as vice chairperson for budget and finance, on the finance committee of Holland Home and previously chaired the board of directors of the West Michigan Alzheimer’s Association.
Sanchez is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Aquinas College.
RoMan Manufacturing specializes in the production of AC and DC power sources and operates three manufacturing facilities.
It serves the automotive, resistance welding, glass, furnace and plating industries with its products.
