A maker of shuffleboards and butcher blocks has been voted the best for customer service at a leading online community for home remodeling and design.

Jenison-based McClure Tables was recognized with the top honor in the category of customer service at Houzz, a Palo Alto, California-based company.

The “homeowner-to-homeowner” Houzz community consists of more than 35 million monthly unique users and more than one million active home building, remodeling and design industry professionals.

The community is considered a source for people with a building, remodeling or decorating project, according to Liza Hausman, VP of industry marketing, Houzz.

The Best of Houzz awards are given annually in three categories: design, customer service and photography.

The customer service honor is based on several factors, including the number and quality of client reviews a professional received in 2015.

A Best of Houzz 2016 badge will appear on winners’ profiles, as a sign of their commitment to excellence. The badges help homeowners identify popular and top-rated home professionals in every metro area on Houzz.

Todd McClure, owner of McClure Tables, said each of the company’s shuffleboard tables is handcrafted “one at a time.”

The company also uses locally harvested wood to create its tables.
