A company that makes leather goods is shifting to a custom-branded products model for other businesses.
Adam Kail, the founder and CEO of Brothers Leather Supply Co., said Monday that his 6-year-old retail brand now will focus exclusively on producing custom-made products for businesses rather than doing online sales with individual customers.
Kail said he originally started the business as a way to provide “solid leather bags” to customers “at a fraction of the price.”
However, he said the evolution of retail during this time has required him to rethink his business model.
“After weeks of reflection, I’ve realized the best way to keep Brothers moving forward successfully is to shift our brand to a customized goods provider,” he said.
“Over the past several years, we’ve helped brands like Coors, Amway, Bissel and Goose Island Brewing, to name a few. We’ve created custom goods for countless wedding parties, graduations and company awards. This part of the business has been incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to continuing these services in the future.
“… From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting Brothers Leather the past six years. It has been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes us.”
Brothers Leather Supply Co. is running a final sale on its website for its existing collection of inventory. When all remaining products are gone, the company will shift completely over to custom work.
Kail said he is offering 50% off the regular one-time logo creation fee for businesses that want to have their logo cast into a metal die that will then allow the companies to order custom journals, bags or other goods and have them imprinted with their brand.
“Once we have the brand created, we’re able to customize products for you anytime,” he said.
