A food maker is putting a salty spin on a classic snack.
Pop-Tarts, a brand of Battle Creek-based Kellogg Company, is launching a new product, the Pop-Tarts Pretzel, this winter.
Available in two flavors — chocolate and cinnamon sugar — the new snack will blend the sweetness of Pop-Tarts Toaster Pastries with the saltiness of a pretzel crust, Kellogg said.
“Pop-Tarts is always ingeniously creating new ways to enjoy familiar, loved foods,” said Joe Beauprez, marketing director, Pop-Tarts. “With the debut of Pop-Tarts Pretzel, we’ve fixed a snacking staple and added two more delicious options to our line-up of flavors.”
Pop-Tarts Pretzel will debut in stores nationwide in January 2020 at a suggested retail price of $3.49.
