A maker of server security software has a new VP of sales.

Fox Technologies in Grand Rapids, a portfolio company of Parallax Capital Partners in Laguna Hills, Calif., said last month that it has named John Kolesar to the role.

The company makes network security and access-management software.

Kolesar will serve the company through his specialization in reconstructed and early stage companies.

Fox Technologies said Kolesar will provide the company with “vision and facilitate organizational change" as well as "process re-design and best practices to increase revenues and improve bottom-line margins.”

Sales background

Kolesar brings about 20 years of IT security sales experience to the company.

He most recently served as director of the Eastern Region for Cylance.

Previously, Kolesar worked at several companies, among others, that were acquired: Netrex, Counterpane, Foundstone and Endforce.

He studied economics and psychology at the University of Michigan.
