Sports commission hosting Alan Trammell for luncheon

The West Michigan Sports Commission Luncheon will feature two World Series champions.

The 13th-annual event will be keynoted by Alan Trammell, a baseball hall of famer, the 1984 World Series MVP and former shortstop for the Detroit Tigers.

Trammell will be introduced by one of his ’84 World Series teammates, Kirk Gibson.

Following the luncheon, both baseball legends will share their stories.

The luncheon will be held on May 21 at the International Ballroom of the JW Marriot in downtown Grand Rapids at 12 p.m.
