A national wireless carrier deployed its 4G network in two major West Michigan cities today.

Sprint said that it has rolled out its 4G LTE service in Grand Rapids and Holland, as well as Saginaw and Flint on the state's east side.

Sprint mobile customers with 4G-ready devices should be able to “do more in less time” and experience faster data-transfer speeds when performing everyday mobile tasks: email, Internet browsing, streaming video and downloading and sharing files.

Michigan 4G rollout

Sprint first rolled out its 4G network in Michigan last month, in St. Joseph/Benton Harbor and Lansing/East Lansing.

Sprint, based in Overland Park, Kan., said then that its 4G network should be deployed “in the coming months” in Allegan, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor and Mount Pleasant.

Sprint’s 4G LTE network now serves 151 markets nationally.
