A locally based company has agreed to be the exclusive retailer for a national apparel brand.

Grand Rapids-based Family Christian announced last week the deal with Active Faith Sports, which produces apparel with Christian-inspired designs and messages.

Active Faith Sports, founded in 2012, provides a range of apparel: T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, socks, hats, wristbands and performance tights for men, women and youth.

The apparel line is currently available online and will be in all Family Christian stores July 7. The retailer operates 250 stores in 36 states.

Two-time National Basketball Association Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry is among the investors in Active Faith Sports.

"Our mission with the Active Faith line is to help our customers take their faith with them to the gym, on the basketball court, the baseball diamond or even on a leisurely walk with the family,” said Jennifer Makowski, senior buyer, Family Christian. “These high-quality products offer inspiration whether you are a backyard warrior or a professional athlete.”
