A maker of steel storage and shelving systems has unveiled a new product line specifically aimed at automotive service center workers.

Borroughs Corp. of Kalamazoo introduced its new Automotive Workstation product line during the 2016 NADA convention and expo in Las Vegas last week.

The Borroughs Automotive Workstation is geared toward automotive service managers, mechanics and technicians, and automotive enthusiasts looking for increased efficiency and organization.

Features include lower cabinets with modern aesthetics such as recessed handles and hidden fasteners, tool drawers made of heavy-duty steel with a 400-pound capacity, and upper cabinets with a soft close feature, which can be lifted with one hand.

Other key components include lift control cabinets, reel cabinets and shelf cabinets.

Power outlets and Ethernet ports also are available as options.

The company said its workstation cabinets and storage systems can be configured in multiple ways to suit specific needs and tools.

The products are designed to keep a dealership’s service center “efficient and maintained,” which can help make service centers one of the “most profitable” areas in the dealership, according to Borroughs officials.

It can also improve employee satisfaction, retention and create a better experience for customers and service professionals.
