A nonprofit that runs senior living communities across the region has a new leader.
Sunset Retirement Communities & Services in Jenison said yesterday that Steve Zuiderveen will become the organization’s CEO later this month.
Zuiderveen will be responsible for overseeing all of Sunset’s facilities, staff and budget.
He fills the role held for the last 14 years by Chad Tuttle, who’s stepping down.
Background
Zuiderveen has served as Sunset’s CFO for the last three years and served earlier as an administrator at Sunset.
He also serves as a finance and accounting adjunct professor at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids.
Previously, Zuiderveen served as a commissioner for the city of Hudsonville and as a regional manager for Providence Life Services.
Zuidervan holds an M.B.A in accounting and finance from Western Michigan University and a B.B.A. in marketing and business administration from Grand Valley State University.
