A locally based supermarket chain has finished a $4.2 million renovation of a store in the region.

The D&W Fresh Market at 1116 Robbins Rd. in Grand Haven by Grand Rapids-based SpartanNash now has a number of new or expanded offerings.

The 55,000-square-foot location has an expanded produce section with 200 organic and farm-fresh products and a special “living well” section.

At new bar areas, customers can create their own pizzas, soups, salads, parfaits, sushi and sandwiches.

The store also features an immersive selection of wine, beer, hard cider and coffee.

The D&W location also features a new bulk food section with more than 200 items and a make-your-own nut butter station.

The store employs more than 120 associates.

“We paid close attention to what our customers expect in a grocery shopping experience,” said Ted Adornato, EVP of Retail Operations, SpartanNash. “And with so many new and exciting ways to personalize each section of the store, we believe we have delivered that best-in-class experience.”
