A local supplier of wage and income tax reporting products and services has acquired a company it does business with on the West Coast.
Walker-based Greatland Corporation said this month it acquired Marin County, California-based Aabet Business Systems.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
This is Greatland’s third acquisition in the past five years.
“This strategic purchase increases Greatland’s West Coast customer base and our overall market share in the reporting and payment processing market,” said Bob Nault, president and CEO, Greatland.
“Aabet Business Systems is a strong, established company, and we look forward to bringing their customers new options, such as our wage and information reporting products and services.”
Greatland and Aabet Business Systems Owner Shelli Clay have partnered for the past 13 years on business checks, envelopes and W-2 and 1099 forms, with Greatland often drop-shipping products directly to Aabet customers.
“Taking care of customers has always been my primary concern, and I know they are in excellent hands with Greatland,” Clay said. “Their team is highly trained, exceptionally knowledgeable and committed to service at every level.”
Founded in 1974, Greatland Corporation provides wage and income tax reporting information, products and services for small to mid-size businesses and accountants.
The company helps customers navigate annual reporting changes, including those related to the Affordable Care Act.
Through its subsidiaries — Greatland, Nelco and Broker Forms — the company offers a range of products for businesses: W-2 forms, 1099 forms, 1095 forms, W-2 and 1099 software, online filing, business checks, presentation materials, income tax preparation supplies and mortgage forms.
